Director of Morning Systems & Discipline Training
University of Hong Kong
Core Expertise
David specializes in behavioral psychology and habit formation systems tailored for the high-pressure environments of Hong Kong’s financial and professional sectors.
Morning Routine Architecture
Designing personalized morning systems that fit the reality of busy executives. We’re not talking generic advice — these frameworks account for commute times, family obligations, and the specific demands of Hong Kong’s business culture.
Behavioral Psychology
Understanding how habits actually form and why willpower alone doesn’t work. David’s approach uses behavioral science principles to make discipline automatic rather than exhausting.
Productivity Measurement
Tracking real improvements without becoming obsessive. Clients typically see 40% increases in daily task completion rates within the first eight weeks of implementation.
Mental Resilience Systems
Building sustainable practices that reduce decision fatigue and burnout. The goal isn’t grinding harder — it’s working smarter with better mental and physical recovery built into the system.
The Story Behind the Framework
David’s journey into morning discipline systems started in an unexpected place. Working as a corporate wellness consultant at KPMG Hong Kong in the early 2010s, he began noticing something patterns in the executives he coached. The ones struggling with consistency — missed workouts, reactive decision-making, high stress — they all shared remarkably similar morning habits. Or rather, they didn’t have habits at all.
Thing is, he realized that most morning routine advice comes from Western productivity gurus who’ve never dealt with Hong Kong’s specific challenges. The climate’s different. The work culture’s different. The pace is different. Generic “wake up at 5 AM and meditate” frameworks just don’t translate.
So he spent three years — from 2012 to 2015 — researching behavioral psychology, circadian rhythm optimization, and productivity systems specifically in the context of Hong Kong’s financial and professional environments. He interviewed hundreds of professionals. He tested frameworks on himself. He failed a lot. Then, in 2015, he launched Morning Momentum Limited with his proprietary Morning Momentum Framework.
Since then, he’s worked with over 2,000 executives across Central Hong Kong’s investment banks, law firms, and multinational corporations. The results aren’t theoretical — they’re documented. Professionals who adopt his structured morning systems consistently report 40% improvements in daily task completion rates, measurably reduced decision fatigue, and significantly better work-life balance.
His clients include Managing Directors at Goldman Sachs Hong Kong, senior partners at major law firms, and C-suite executives at multinational corporations. What they all have in common? They stopped believing that discipline is about willpower. They realized it’s about systems.
